[I dunno if the "Possession God" thing is supposed to be a name, but given the context I think not. If so it's written Tsukikami. Or maybe -gami.]

His appearance is sort of an adult Timothy, though he has the atmosphere of a mysterious protagonist, I thought.

The color is Allen, Kanda, all the worn out people, Link, the old lady with glasses, Timothy, Emilia?
やわかい絵柄に見えたのは、ティモシーの変身後のデザインでそう見えただけだったかも
It looked like a soft design, it might have just been Timothy's design after transformation.
Second Spoiler:
ティモシーはAKUMAの身体乗っ取り、変身する。
Timothy takes over the akuma's body, he transforms.
そして適合者の意識にいる“セコンド”が見えるようになる
And in the compatible person's consciousness, "Second" appears.
ティモシーは自分の能力がイノセンスによるものだと聞いて悲しむが、今は前にいる敵と戦うことを決意して、ツキカミに敵の倒し方を聞く
When he had heard his abilities were by the means of Innocence he was sad, but now he is determined to fight the enemies in front of him, he listens to the possession god's way of defeating enemies.

Tsukigami should be the name of Timothy's Innocence, and it allows Timothy to possess Akuma (So Timothy is pretty much invincible in a one vs one situation O_o?)

The person speaking to Timothy looks like an older version of Timothy and the main character (Medicine Seller) of the anime Mononoke
And this "person" is probably a personification of the Innocence itself (like the winged figure that Lenalee talked to during the Level 4 arc)
And I suspect "Second" is not a name, but what he means is that he is an assistant/guardian. So in short, Timothy's Innocence comes with an instruction booklet, how nice.
