 D.Gray-man - originally a "gothic" manga by Hoshino Katsura (星野 桂) that takes place at the end of an alternate 19th century, it tells the story of a young boy named Allen Walker, a member of an organization of Exorcists who makes use of an ancient substance called Innocence to combat the Millennium Earl and his demonic army of akuma. D.Gray-man ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from May 2004 - April 2009, made a reappearance in Akamaru Jump in August 2009 and is currently on-going via monthly release in Square Jump since November 2009. Additionally, D.Gray-man was adapted into an anime of 103 episodes that aired between May 2006 and September 2008, has a series of novels titled Reverse and had two video games produced in Japan--one for the Nintendo DS called Kami no Shitotachi (March 2007) and one for the PlayStation 2 called Sousha no Shikaku (September 2008). This community is a space dedicated to the fans who share a common interest in the animanga series D.Gray-man. It is a place for friendly fan-to-fan discussion, a place to share fanwork (art, fan fiction, icons, layouts, etc.) and as a general resource for the series as a whole. † All posts must be related to D.Gray-man in some way. As clearly indicated, this is a community dedicated primarily toward discussion of DGM. If a post made in this comm can not be at least loosely linked to the series then it may be removed. Advertisements for RPGs (roleplaying games) are permitted on this community within reason, but please use common sense. If you are shamelessly spamming every animanga comm in sight for the sake of it then your advertisement may be removed. † All official material--raw or translated/scanlated--must be posted under a friends lock. This rule is more important than ever now in light of the recent crackdown on scanlated material across the net. Failure to friends-lock official material may result in a mod contacting you to edit your post, or the post being deleted. † Use an cut where it is needed! Spoilers, images, huge advertisements, fics, fanart, especially if they are adult, etc. must all be cut. Images that go beyond 300x400 should also be underneath a cut, whether it is an RPG banner or a fanart preview. Anything smaller is acceptable. † All spoilers MUST be marked and placed behind a cut no exceptions If you post an unmarked/uncut spoiler then your post will be deleted. D.Gray-man is an on-going series and thus is subject to new information being released at all time. Please be considerate of other fans who may not have read/watched as far as you. † All content must be appropriately marked While the sharing of all kinds of media is permitted, please be aware that if you are sharing something with adult content then it must be clearly marked. If it is not then your post may be deleted. † Please tag your posts. You do not have the ability to create your own, however there is quite a big list of them to choose from. If there is a tag that you think you need but isn't present, feel free to contact a mod and ask them about adding one. † Please friends lock ALL your shared media, raw or translated/scanlated This includes episodes, manga chapters, omake/extras and doujinshi. † Please do not spam the comm. Try to not flood the community. If, for example, you have three fics you wish to share please post all three in the same post you make instead of a separate post for each one. Additionally, please do not post simply to introduce yourself. It’s not that we don’t care about who you are, we would just like to see your contribution to the fandom too! † Discussion is heavily encouraged, however flames and drama are not permitted. This is not a space to shameless and unthinkingly attack other members of the community.
