You're dead. Or at least, that's what they tell you. Welcome to the seireitei, a place where the dead find themselves after leaving their mortal coil. The problem is, you might not remember dying. In fact, you may have never died at all. The spirits that call the seireitei home don't know how or why you are there, but they do know the laws of this place: Once you come in, you can't go back. Even when more souls come flooding in, the only solution is to deal with them as all other souls- and try to figure out what's causing the influx. You're dead. Accept it, or don't; it doesn't make a difference. Hungry? You're on your own. The shinigami may have something to say about that. Only souls with the strength of spirit necessary to become one of the death gods feel such hunger, and once you have been found out, the choice is no longer your own. Those who do not choose to train as shinigami are imprisoned. Just don't do something stupid; we certainly wouldn't want you to get too curious. C'est la vie- Or the afterlife, as it were. You're going to be here for a very long time.
