Title: Boredom Kills
Author: enemytosleep
Word Count: 218
Rating: G
Fandom: D. Gray-man
Characters: Lavi, Kanda Yuu
Prompt:
fanfic_bakeoff - Catch
Summary: Lavi gets bored at Kanda's expense.
Warnings: none
Train rides were only interesting if you'd never ridden one before. When Lavi had first joined the Order, he actually looked forward to riding these things. Nowadays, not so much. He'd recorded enough of them for all of history.
Sometimes he'd get lucky and find a pretty girl or two to chat up while they traveled, but not today. Nope, today the cabin car was empty minus him and the other members of the Order, and all of them were sleeping now. He couldn't even enjoy the scenery because it was raining.
The exorcist across from him dozed quietly with his forehead pressed against the window. His long hair was tied back as it always was, falling down over his shoulder and over his chest. Kanda never wore his hair down that Lavi had noticed, nor had he tied it any other way.
He remembered seeing men with long plaits the last time he'd visited China. Kanda almost looked Chinese, though he knew he'd get sliced if Kanda ever heard him say that. Still, Lavi was bored and everyone was asleep and there wasn't anything he could do but sit here and let his mind wander. Unless...
Kanda would so kill him if he braided his hair while he slept. Of course, Yuu would have to catch him first.

Characters: one sided Rhode/Allen, a pink umbrella
Prompt:
fanfic_bakeoff - Catch
Summary: Rhode marvels over her prize
Warnings: implied non-con, blood play
"This is how humans touch. Doesn't it feel nice?"
Rhode knelt over her catch and ran her finger down his jaw. His white hair was matted with blood on the side of his face where she had pierced through his eye. It was cursed anyway, an unfair advantage for the slayers. Besides, he was much cuter without it.
She traced her fingers through the congealing blood on his cheek and dragged a trail of it down and over his lips, painting a red line down the center of them. She leaned in to kiss those lips, licking his blood off of them as she pulled back to look at him again. He was glaring with his one eye, cold and gray. The look sent chills up and down her body. It had been a long time since anyone had excited her this much.
"Lero! You shouldn't play with him like that! The Earl is gonna be mad, lero!"
"So what? Let me have my fun."
Lero was right though, she really shouldn't take chances like this. Still, there were things she wanted to do to this boy that she might not get the chance to later. It was best to see to them now, right?
She nosed the space behind his ear and ran her fingers through the gap of his jacket, fingering the shirt buttons beneath.
She whispered quietly into his ear, "Can you feel my heat, Allen?"

Characters: Lavi, Komui, Bookman, Lenalee
Prompt:
fanfic_bakeoff - Catch
Summary: Lavi snags an opportunity whenever it presents itself.
Warnings: Lenalee needs rescuing again, and so will Lavi
Lavi sat across from Komui's desk on the sofa with his ankle propped over one knee. Komui was describing their next mission, and Bookman was shooting dirty glances at Lavi as the teen chewed at his thumbnail. He actually was listening to Komui, but that didn't mean he needed to act interested, did it?
Panda elbowed him in the ribs, hard, and not for the first time Lavi wondered if the old man could actually read his thoughts.
Komui paused, raising an eyebrow and giving Lavi one of those piercing looks he was fond of giving. Of all the people at the Black Order, this man was probably the only one that didn't seem to fully trust him. Well, there was the kid Finder too, but Lavi didn't like to think about him often.
Before Komui could speak again -and before Lavi could get himself further in the hole with an ill-thought comment - they were interrupted by a pretty girl in a short skirt carrying a large tray of coffee mugs. She was obviously concentrating on the contents of her tray more than the piles of books and paperwork strewn across the floor, and before anyone could warn her, the toe of her boot caught on the edge of an old globe stand, tripping her up. Lavi sprang from the couch and grabbed for her, slipping an arm around her waist and another behind her back.
The girl's look of surprise melted into a warm smile, and then he tipped her upright, his arm still around her waist. As she then worried over he spilled beverages and all the paper it had soaked through, Lavi felt the heat of Komui's glare and gulped. He quickly removed the offending arm.
