Question about Lavi's hair~

So I've seen it done both ways, and in many different pictures, but,...

Lavi. In his third uniform. Would one cosplay him with orange, red-orange, or straight up red hair? I know sometimes the red hair can clash with the red trim on the uniforms. I see in some of the official artist drawings of him with orange hair while in the red/black uniform, but I've always liked the redhead side and especially in the anime, where his hair is redder. Finding a good cross between the right red and orange is harder than finding a cheap red wig to begin with.

I'm just wondering what people would think. I plan to cosplay Lavi in the third uniform with his hair down half the time, so I figured a wig similar to this (colour-wise) would be all right instead of something like this (colour-wise) because that second one seems REALLY orange.

Ideas?

Both colors look good - I'd be more inclined towards the red myself. But if you're willing to spend the time on it, you might get the orange wig and then color in red highlights to get a more dynamic/organic look to the color.

I'd say you're right. The first one would look better. The second one is a little too bright to be Lavi, I think.

The second one is way too orange =w= I would say the 1st one would be a better choice. But personally, both are wrong colours. But it also depends on your complexion when getting a wig. And both wigs are not heat-resistant which makes it a bit... hard to maintain. Especially if you're going to cosplay more than twice.

I cosplayed Lavi once (the dream world version) and my wig is more... brownish-red than actual red.

lol, anooyingly my own natural hair colour is PERFECT for Lavi but sadly it's too thick to style with gel.

I'd go with the first wig because I tend to go with the anime colours when cosplaying Lavi. Hoshino is a great artist but she plays around with colours too much so it's hard to know what's what colour-wise. Anime colours are more consistent than the Manga ones.
