I am trying...Kanda art (fanart)

Well, recently the idea of painting kanda has been nagging me a lot, so i decided to do it. I hope it will comes out good since i am amateur on this field.

what do you think?, it is still incompleted, i kind of messed up with the arms. I am not really good at drawing/painting people, especially faces. Let's see how it goes, maybe i might paint another character.

I think it looks very good so far. Keep at it, you never know, it may be your best once its finished!

The shoulders don't look right too rounded and his chest is a bit too high. When drawing start by sketching a skeleton first then start adding mass to the skeleton (like shapes to define the muscles example an oval for the head, cylinders for the arms etc) after that clean it up and add detail to make it into the character. Then when colouring work on the entire picture at once by first laying down base colour (colour all the skin, a flat skin colour. Everything that's blue a flat blue colour) Once you have the entire image covered in base colour (just flat colour on everything) then you start building up the shading. Right now it looks like your focusing on finishing one area at a time which isn't a good way to learn, it's harder to fix any mistakes that way.
