Hey, all. Forgive me if I'm being dumb, but...

General Winters is Mexican, right? I think I might have found the source of his name.

I didn't put together that Sokalo or other spelling but now the "Socorro" makes sense. Then again it might not be from a volcano. Socorro mean 'to succor', that is to render help or aid. That would make Gen. Winters' name have a hint of irony.

I just thought it was funny, since the entry says it's a Mexican possession; even if that part's a coincidence, I do like the irony with his name. :D

Sokaro can also be spelled as zocalo, which is Spanish for "town square" in Mexico.

Really! I need to try taking Spanish again sometime. If that's what Hoshino had in mind, I wonder what she was thinking with that~

Well, Socorro might suit him especially after that book in which it says Sokalo actually spent time in jail for being a killer, but Zócalo suits him better XDDDD

Zócalo stands for: a town square, a lower frieze on the wall (if it is that, then it must be a pun. It's a common joke to say to someone who is too short), a plain from the paleozoic times and the expantion countries have in the ocean marked as part of their territories.

I'm from Mexico, when i heard the general Winters was mexican inmediatly i conected the name with Zócalo wich is a big square like plaza in Distrito Federal the center of Mexico
