I actually think this is a really good choice for Allen's voice, lack of British accent notwithstanding. (tbh even though I know he's English, I never picture Allen with the proper accent, and I imagine it would've been too expensive for them to hire somebody who could do one properly. Would you really want to hear some American attempting an accent and mangling it badly? :( )

I only hope the rest of the dub is at least... bearable. @_@

Well the thing that people forget is how many dialects there are in England. I don't think that Allen would have RP (Received Pronunciation) but I could see something from Yorkshire, which really isn't hard to pull off. :/

idk, I could see Allen deliberately using RP, what with how he tries so hard to project an image of A Nice Polite Young Boy Who Is Not From The Streets and all that.

That said, I'm not even sure what a Yorkshire accent sounds like, let alone how you'd pronounce it. And I know what RP sounds like but I can't do it myself at all. It's not like these sorts of things are just elementary; we can't all be a prodigy like James Marsters or something. So idk, I'd rather see a decently acted part in the performer's native accent (oh please god let Allen be decently acted) than one in a badly-done foreign accent, or even worse, a bad performance made worse by a bad accent.

I saw a decently long clip and I was actually rather satisfied. You need to be open-minded about American acting. They aren't going to sound like the Japanese voices, sure, but the acting job is very decent from what I got to hear. And the cast list is superb.
