Altogether 536 pages @ the price of 560 yen. This book was released in Japan on 13 November.

In short, Allen & Kanda-centered stuff galore (cover page, poster, coloured illust., Allen's first mission with Kanda ♥ )

But chapter 1-49 at just 560 yen? Plus a A2 poster? Chapter 1-49 is like 5 volumes, which is $5.50 in my currency after translation into Chinese, and that is roughly 1770 yen. That's such a good deal I feel cheated XD.

Sorry, my mistake, it's 42 chapters + 1 poster for 560yen. I've already edited the information. Haha, I feel cheated too DX (bought vol 1~18 in Japanese, each costing about $9.90 in Singapore, 390 yen in Japan.)

It's not just a straight reprint though, it leaves out quite a few chapters :( This is the highlights version basically. They're mostly offering it for Jump SQ readers who've never read DGM before, I think.

Except for a color illustration or two, there's really nothing new in this book :( The D.Gray-Party series is just reprints of selected chapters -- not even all of them -- so Jump SQ readers who've never read DGM before can catch up, and reprints of a few profiles from the fanbook. I'm really disappointed that they're cutting so much stuff out, blah. :(

I would have gotten the Tong Li version if the Chuangyi version wasn't like on a super cheap sale, which amounted to like $3 per volume. I wanted to keep my shelf beautiful too, so I stuck to Chuangyi even if the translations were a bit funny at times.

I see your point. I was confused when the blogpost said it contained only 25 chapters but featured 42 chapters. Seeing your comments clarified it.

So apart from the coloured illustrations and poster I guess it's not worth the buy (for avid DGM fans). I better put this disclaimer up.

Erhm, in case you misunderstood, I was talking about the D.Gray man regular volumes, not the compilation.
