This was posted on code_geass by others quite some time ago, but I figure that I'll post here too. Delete if not allowed.

So at first I thought that Kanda and Suzaku having the same seiyuu aka Sakurai Takahiro was funny enough. But I don't think so now.

Because for the Twilight Japanese dub, Sakurai Takahiro's role is of uh, a certain sparkly vampire aka Edward Cullen.

Any thoughts? I think he did Edward's voice quite well. Just that Robert Pattinson does not deserve to be voiced by Sakurai-san.

I squealed like MAD when I first saw the video quite some time ago!! I LOVE Sakurai-sama's voice and I think that he's too good to do the voice-over for Edward Cullen!!

I think I tolerated Twilight and more specifically, Edward better because of Sakurai-sama. *shot*

Hm, the Twilight saga is really huge these few days huh? For me, the first movie was like, "er...What the fish?" for me but the second movie was thankfully a bit better. No offense, but I loathe Bella. She scared me in the second movie, going crazy and emo!!

BUT ANYWAY.

I so agree with you sister!! Robert Pattinson does not deserve to be voiced by Sakurai-sama. Lol. I'm so gonna be stoned to death by die-hard Edward-fans.

My feelings...are pretty much identical to what you said. xD Sakurai is one of my favorite actors, too...TAT Not a big Twilight fan, so I should just not say anything or it might get bad. xD

And yeah, live-action dubs are always so weird. :P

sakurai's voice is--could we say, handsome? it definitely throws extra bonus points on the charm of the characters he portrays. edward is meant to be this charming, handsome vampire. if you look at it that way, it makes sense that they chose sakurai for the role.

not saying it fits him or anything, but they're probably just using what they can to captivate the japanese fanbase.
