Hey, folks.

I just wanna let everyone know that Hoshino's birthday is coming up soon, on the 21st.

She'll be thirty.

Sadly I won't be around to wish her a happy birthday on the Internet as I'll be at basic for the Navy, but I hope you other members will remember to!

Thanks.

TSC/RTC is right on Lake Michigan, so expect the heat index up to 110F with humidity reaching "UNIFORM OF THE DAY: GILLS, WEAR." Thankfully, they have very strict guidelines about the weather and RTC WILL keep you guys indoors and won't allow you to double-time over a certain heat. They'll also require you to drink no less than 8 canteens a day, so you'll probably do better than I did. I had already graduated bootcamp by the time the heatwave came, and was across the street at TSC where we don't have canteens so we were all massively dehydrated.

My biggest forward-advanced tip would be that, at the end of bootcamp, when you graduate, if you can, buy a canteen from the NEX there. Because you'll want one like BURNING when you leave. EVERYONE goes into canteen withdrawals after boot. You'll be able to do with just a water bottle, but it just doesn't feel the same. XD

OTL FOREVAH. man i'll be pissing up a storm lol. i will deffo have to get a canteen. i really can't live without my camping waterbottle as it is. it is quite literally my best mate.

okay, so, i'm two months before shipdate. when you were two months before, what were you doing? aside from the prescribed, of course.

btw, my mum has read that i shouldn't buy a swimsuit or undies before i go, but i have been told to go ahead and buy them. if i don't, i will either be issued navy stuff over there, or i will have to visit the exchange for these items, y/n? and, how was your swim over there at training? was it simple as pie or were a lot of ppl struggling?

Um, I'll just say not to bring anything. No matter what anyone tells you, unless you are a special size, you will be made to mail everything you brought with you, back home. And you will pay the full postage yourself. They have a pre-set amount of money they are charging you for your seabag and everything you wear has to be uniform issue, so don't waste the time or money.

For everything else, as the OP has mentioned, this is OT, so you can hit me up on FB via the messages and I will give you all the spoilers you'll need to survive the summer. ♥
