So about Chapter 157.

Who do you think will be the next to acquire a crystal type, if anyone?

I have this sinking feeling that it will be Lavi, and that he and Bookman will have to leave. ;A;

And apparently Tyki and Rhode are still alive.

I'm wondering who that woman Tyki was talking to is. Maybe she's a Noah? Or maybe the Earl can go about as a normal human somehow.

Rhode was seen alive before this. It was when the Earl was using the new piano in the new Ark. The silhouettes of Rhode and Lulubell are seen.

I suspect probably Kanda. We still haven't seen a lot of Rabi's seals, so he's still got room to upgrade without moving to a crystal type. Or it'll be neither of them, and it'll be Miranda... because seriously, equiptment types don't have to upgrade to crystal to be god-moddy. Just look at Cross.

I thought the one Road was talking to was a man. At first I thought it was Lulubell, but the hair and face shape is different and definitely masculine (for a moment I thought he was Komui!XD) I also wonder if he could be the Earl's human form, as the elegant lady talking with Tyki earlier mentioned being invited to the Earl's tea party, which suggests that the Earl moves in human circles and entertains often enough to be popular.

and I think that even if Lavi gets a crystal-type, when push comes to shove, the Bookmen won't leave the Exorcists... or rather, Lavi won't. Either he or Bookman will have a Revelation That There Are Things More Precious Than Rules (tm (r) (c) pat.pending)

We already know about human brokers, at least in the anime and Reverse. Maybe the Earl just moves in human circles without bothering to look human. At any rate, the guy Road was talking to didn't have the little hearts at the end of his speech bubbles. XP He's probably a new Noah.

I thought it was him too, but Tyki's busy on the dance floor. I like the theories that it could be a human supporter... OR Tyki's dark and white halves split.:x

He doesn't look like Tyki (to me anyway), the facial structure is a bit different. I don't think the white and dark halves can be split, they share that one body.

I'm not sure who'd I suspect to be the next, but I have a feeling that even if it is Lavi, there's gonna be some strange circumstance in which he doesn't leave. I have a feeling Lavi's here to stay.

And I have a feeling that the girl may be a Noah, after all, it was never stated that the fourteenth was even the last. There may be more than that.

I doubt it, all noahs so far have dark skin and the cross marks on their forehead? Since the Noahs are considered "human", it's not surprising that the Earl may mix in human circles. They could be wholly ignorant of the Earl's actual power or human brokers like in the anime. To me at least, it just seems like the woman thinks the Earl is some man or nobleman of great important and is trying to kiss up 8D

They're only seen with the dark skin and cross marks when they're in Noah form. They could just be in human form.

Though I highly doubt that. I think the Earl set himself up some sort of humanly hierarchy that everyone believes. I second you on that theory. :D

I'm agreeing with you that it's a human circle, probably of the Earl's supporters, mirroring the Order's supporters, though I don't think the crosses, gray skin, or eyes would be seen on any noah.

There also was speculation that the man talking to Rhode was White!Tyki and he separated from black. I could buy that.

But also, since it's Hoshino, I wouldn't be surprised if she said "Hey, let's add in a bunch of new characters!"

I'm pretty sure that Road and the Earl both mentioned that there are "thirteen" Children of Noah (actually fourteen, but the last one was of course erased from the "records" so to speak) when they first visited Skinn when he was in the process of transforming. I'm pretty sure that Road tells Skinn that he's one of thirteen Children of Noah. Therefore, there really can't be, like, fifteen or anything, or else Hoshino would be rehashing the fourteenth thing way too much, and I don't think she's anywhere near out of ideas enough to try that.

I wasn't even thinking about the Crystal thing-- I was just guffawing over the fact that Kanda and Allen are wearing what is unmistakably PIRATE STYLE BOOTS. XDDDDDDD

I mean, I was trying to get a good reference of all of their casual/out of uniform outfits for cosplay, but the pirate boots were just....LOL.

And I think the next one would be Crowley D: cuz I think he's still heavily injured and needs a good comeback!

Me too! Ha ha, what's with these boots all of a sudden? The last few chapters, it looked like Kanda just had on the boots from his uniform, so that was easy, but these pirate boots... lulz. If they show up again, I'm making them, dammit.

Krory is already Parasitic -- I don't think he can really evolve into Crystal type if his type is already parasitic. That doesn't mean he won't evolve his parasitic form, but I don't think he can *GO* to crystal, since crystal-type appears to start out as an equipment type, that starts to become symbiotic. Parasitic is already symbiotic.

I think it's a given that Lavi will go Crystal and NOT tell Bookman. But I don't think it'll be right soon, it'll be during the climax of the manga. They'll be able to fix Odzuchi Kodzuchi by normal means this time (whoever said that Lavi doesn't need an upgrade right now because he has a lot more seals to unlock has a point). Kanda, however, is VERY likely to go Crystal to revive Mugen, and he *does* have room for upgrading, because Mugen didn't have very many "tricks" to begin with.

Hrm. I agree that all things considered, Kanda is probably going to go Crystal to get his sword back. Plus, as shown in the Skin Boric fight, he already had a move that allowed his Innocence to feed off his life in exchange for greater power, so maybe the Crystal stage isn't that far off.

Kanda does heart his sword, so who knows? But I've heard something about Mugen = "six illusions," and I guess we've only seen two or three.

Knowing Hoshino? Doubt it. :D Considering you have "Kaichuu Ichigen" (First Illusion: Hell's Insects) "Nigentou" (Second Illusion Blade) and "Kinki Sangenshiki" (Taboo Third Illusion)

However, given how dangerous the third illusion is (costing him some of his life), I can only imagine how dangerous the other three illusions would be. Makes me kinda think of the Hachimon from Naruto (The Eight Gates)

Perhaps the only way for an equip-type Innocence to be repaired is by upgrading to a Crystal-type? I mean, in both Kanda's and Rabi's cases, their Innocence seems to be pretty damn well destroyed with little to no hope of recovery. In fact, I'm not even sure HOW they'd recover the individual Innocence themselves, since there seems to be no shred of them left. Unless of course, they called upon the bond left within the Conformer him/herself, and... Oh, hell, I'm giving MYSELF a headache with all my theorizing at this point.

For those who are also lawl-ing over Allen and Kanda's pirate boots, I say they're totally copying off of Rabi. XD

I really want to know more about the ball the Noah are at -- it seems to be a sort of Hellfire Club-esque deal. ... And I really didn't notice that the guy hanging out with Rhode was not Tyki until after I DL'ed the HQ scans. I blame the blurs!

My personal thought is that Rabi's will turn Crystal-type and he will eventually choose to give up being Bookman in favor of staying with the Order. He doesn't consciously realize it yet, but I think he's already decided where his loyalties lie. He wouldn't leave the rest of the OT4 at this point.
