I can't recall off the top of my head, but I know that Hoshino-sensei has used at least one other, more blatant reference to DB in DGM. I think that someone in the Science Department was seen reading a Dragon Ball manga. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if those panels were, in fact, influenced. XD

She also made reference to Allen's Clown Crown form being inspired by SUPER SAIYAJIN in the author's notes of volume 11 8D
