[Question] Happy Otaku, Jpqueen, Kagi and Yullen doujins?

Hi, I'd like to buy d. gray-man doujinshis and found these sites: happyotaku and jpqueen

And so, I'd like to ask if they are reliable? And they use KAGI as their payment method. I'm not familiar with it. If anyone has tried it, could you please let me know about it?

Also, out of curiosity... I found so many, many D. Gray-man's Allen x Kanda (Arekan) doujinshis, but only a few of Kanda x Allen (Yullen) doujins. I really wonder why? Considering yullen is really famous and there's even a yullen week if you visit fanfiction.net.. A bunch of great authors wrote for yullen weeks. So.. Why? LoL. Not that I don't like arekan, but I'm just really curious ^^

And I'm just wondering if I bought Yullen doujins, are there any kind-hearted people who want to scanlate them as I have poor Japanese skills but really want to contribute something for Yullen? :3

Hello!

I can vouch for both jpqueen and Happy Otaku. I've used jpqueen in 10 different occassions and only twice for happyotaku. Jpqueen was lot bigger than it is now and they used to have a lot more doujinshi available. They have pretty good prices but the books are mostly secondhand but are in mint condition. Happy Otaku on the otherhand can a bit pricey.

KAGI is just a service they use for charging payment. You can pay via Paypal through KAGI if you want, or straight via CC by entering your details and such. There is no need to register or anything.

Yullen is indeed quite famous outside of Japan but what is famous for us is not always the same within Japan. It would seem that AreKan is more famous there. I myself prefer Yullen but most if not all the DGM doujinshi I own are AreKan. The circel Higashi Mikuni Kamen especially is my favourite circle. X3

I hope that helps. It's 4:00 in the morning here where I live so please excuse if it's not making sense at all. ^^;

Glad to help. I actually just bought 2 doujinshi from jpqueen and now waiting for it to arrive. X3

Oh! So that's what you meant. XD Sorry, as I have mentioned it was past 4:00 in the morning where I live. But I think what I said would tie-in too. There is generally more AreKan circles and doujinshi around and I think some of the Yullen circles have stopped drawing doujinshi but I'm not really sure.

Have you heard of Aarinfantasy Forum? If you're looking for scanlations or RAW doujinshi, Aarinfantasy is the best place to look. http://aarinfantasy.com/forum/

You might want to try Dragonfly Scanlations as well here http://dragonfly.grey-space.net/

damn. I really prefer Yullen to AreKan though..*scowl* chhhh'...this is like the time when I liked IchimaruxHitsugaya, but it was a popular pairing for Korea and not for Japan...=0=....how depressing...*scowl* and chance you'll scan the Yullen ones you buy and post them online? =DDD

I can't vouch for either site, but I can say that there is a LOT of KanAre (The Japanese do not use Yullen, that seems to be a North American name only) out there, not just AreKan. It depends on the circle and the book. Some circles will switch them.

Higashimikunikamen is, from what I have noticed, mostly AreKan, though Cosecha is KanAre, as is Hakusen Touka/Oboro Tsukishiro (they have some LaviYuu as well), Meiji Chimera, AYA/Ayanagi Ritsu and Peace Diner are just a few.

Good luck in your search!

Ah! I see what you mean. To be quite honest I haven't been paying overly close attention to the KanAre side in the past few years (I was brought over to the dark side of LaviYuu ^^;; )

From what I remember, there were quite a few scanlations up on AarinFantasy, and if you look back at entries a few years ago, there should be some doujin posted in the dgrayman_yaoi comm, although I am not sure if the links still work or what.

And you're welcome! I am sure there are more, but that's what I knew of off hand. ^__^

Sounds like you've already had plenty of vouching, but I'll add -

I have used jpqueen and was very happy with the pricing, quality, and service they offered.
