Like the others have said, it is literally big hammer, little hammer. However, I just wanted to tell you that your problem here is that you've been chucking it into online translators, which can be fine for small things but are ultimately not dependable as they are machines.

I'd also advise you to not use romaji when trying to translate things. Many words will have the same romaji, as romaji is just the Japanese word in English letters. It's sort of like two, too, and to--but only worse, because as far as romaji is considered they would all be written the same way. Take kami for example. Depending on the kanji, it could mean God, hair, or paper.

Also, it's been years since I've been up to date with DGM, but I'm pretty sure the seals use onyomi pronunciation.

So in that case it would be 水, sui (water) and 地, chi (earth). Although, as far as the earth one goes, he might use a different word. If it's not that one, it would be 土, do (earth).
