[ Mod Post: Regarding Release 88 ]
Greetings all!
I come baring a very quick announcement.
Regarding Release 88
As some of you may be aware, LiveJournal is going through some changes which is causing many problems for users. These problems include (but are not limited to): the removal of subject lines, difficulty with visibility and accessibility, turning on automatic payments without users' permission (if you haven't already done so, please check that your accounts have not been switched to automatic payments without your knowledge), some users cannot even post, comment, or select icons since this update went live, and so on.
More information about the reception of the update from users and the response from LJ staff can be found here, though the long and short is that LJ will not be rolling back Release 88.
What this means for
dgrayman?
Basically, I won't be abandoning or ignoring
dgrayman, however I am aware that a significant number of users are moving to DreamWidth.
As such, I've opened
dgray_man at DW as a mirror comm for users who are moving/have moved. When DW completes it's community import update, I will import all the entries, comments and tags from this community over to DW so everything that is currently available here will also be available at DW.
Unfortunately, there is no way to crosspost between the two sites automatically, so if you want to post on both LJ and DW you will have to crosspost manually.
I want to emphasize that I'm not moving or shutting down this comm, simply making more options available to users. This isn't a matter of "Are we moving? Are we not moving?", it's just opening up another space for DGM fandomers to post and interact if they no longer want to associate with LJ.
I've got a question!
By all means leave a comment here, send me a private message, or shoot me an email. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have!
All that aside, I hope you guys had an excellent Happy Chrismahanukwanzakah and all the very best for the new year! :)
