D. Gray Man English DVDs
I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place >_<;;
I wanted to ask, since D.Gray Man's Box Set Part 1 Season 1 is coming out in English on March 2009; Does anyone know how many episodes it is? It's $60 retail, but I know Japan has come out with 4 parts(13 episodes each) to season 1 >_>;;, so I'm assuming that it wouldn't cost that much for only 13 episodes?
God, I hope not. D;

Does anyone know what VA's they've chosen? Or are they only subbing it? Not that i mind either way, just curious lol. I really like the Japanese voice cast, so likely i wouldn't be watching it in English anyway *silently fangirls over Lavi's Seiyuu*

I hear you, are you in the UK? D: Because I am too and it's a goddamned vicious cycle. DD8 Studios say that prices are so high because of piracy and illegal downloading, but fans say they download etc. because they cannot afford £20 for 4 episodes.
I can see both their sides but... that doesn't help any. It depressing. *le sigh*
:P I agree on the Japanese VA's. But I'm more of a fan of Kanda's VA because I'm a Final Fantasy addict. *__*

Yeah, thats all a bit crap tbh...especially now when no-one has any spare money. As much as i love getting anime DVD's, if my choice is one anime dvd with 4 eps, or a weeks shopping, i know where my money's going ^_^;; Well...i guess theres not much point in debating all that - but i am glad that the industry is starting to change (even if its a long time before we see those changes here...)
lol...He was Susumu in PMK too...but Lavi's Seiyuu has been in boys love/yaoi anime, so i can't help but adore him all the more for it!

I download but I do buy the DVD's when I have the money. I'm wondering if its worth waiting until they release a proper boxset rather then forking out £20 a go.

yeah....i rarely get the single anime dvds unless they're in the sale, or pre-owned (CEX is awesome for that...got whole Fruits Basket set for under £20 - its £50+ in HMV) If its an anime i desperatly want, i'll import it - screw waiting 2 years for it to be released here (or worse, we find out it wont be released. Hopefully DGM wont be one of these.)

Oh, cool! I'll have to check that out sometime...though i expect my bank acount wont thank me for it :P I'm supposed to be saving up for Cons.
And yup, i did. I've been the past 3 years ^_^ *checks out the photos on your journal* AH!!! LAVI!!!! I'm pretty sure I pounced you for a photo at some point ^_^

Ugh, don't remind me about saving for cons. I'm off to Aya next year and the accomadation for that is probably going to be £200 -_-. United publications is quite good for manga(£5 a book sometimes!) but the DVDs are a bit pricier but I trust them more.

But if Funimation tries to recreate another british accent I may have to kill something.

That aside, I think they might try to do accents, but... yeah. We'll see...
*wants to know the voice cast*

I've been scouring google, looking for the English VAs. The only one I was Dan Green but I'm thinking it was a joke as it said, D.Gray-Man Voice of Pregnant Akuma (English)
