Timcampy Tattoo
I posted a few weeks ago about wanting to get a Timcampy tattoo. Well, I finally found some good photos to show my artist I showed him these three photos.
He looked at them and drew up something to what I wanted. I wanted it to mostly be like the first one linked, with the wings a little like the last one and the colour to be like the second photo. A bit confusing, but at least I knew what I wanted, right?
I got it done this afternoon and it took around 3 hours, with my artist drawing it up, and with all the interuptions, I ended up with something really awesome. The tail was drawn free hand with a marker, and the wings were pretty much free hand as well, since the stencil got all smudged so he had to grab his sketch book and use that to look off of.
The photos might be kind of large, I don't remember what my camera is set on and I didn't resize them. The yellow cross and the horns should be a bright sunshine yellow, but there is still blood on them since they were done last, so the yellow isn't as bright as it should be. The wings have black shading with brown over the black and the rest is a really nice gold colour.
This is actually my 6th tattoo, and my 2nd anime related one. [5th if you count transformers]
the placement on my leg/foot
My artist was really surprised that I didn't find the part on my shin to hurt much at all. Even when he had to go over it like 4 times because of the colours and shading. He found it really painful when he got that area done. My foot was another story. The tail sucked because the lines were so long, and the little blob for the tail end sucked because he had to go over it so many times, my foot was red and throbbing.
I really want to get a lotus like the one Kanda has on my foot below Timcampy's tail, but since the little tail sucked so much I'm not sure I'd be able to handle a much larger piece there. I might still do it anyway since the end result is always so amazing.

Actually, yes. xD I have them planned out; I want some Renji-esque ones across my collarbones and a pair of bat wings on my shoulder blades.
I wanted to get Kanda's tattoo somewhere, but I don't really know where. =/

Bat wings would be awesome. It would almost be like getting a golem, since they look more bat like than Tim ever will.
You could get Kanda's tat on your legs or something. I wouldn't on your back since you want wings and those will look pretty awesome on their own.
I have much love for Kanda, which is why I want the lotus blossom next. It will be the only girly tattoo I'll have. haha. :)

xD Yeah, it would, now that I think about it. But I've wanted them since before I got into the D.Gray-man fandom, sooo. Yeah. xD
I was thinking on my ankle or something. I've always wanted a tattoo there. 8')
Aw, the lotus blossom would be pretty. Are you gonna have it whole, or like with petals falling off/already fallen off, or something?

an ankle tattoo would hurt a lot i think. the inside of my foot, where the tail loops around really sucked, it wasn't horribly painful, it was more that i couldn't move my foot and i really wanted to so it caused pain.
im not sure what ill do about the lotus. i need to wait to get the funds and the time to not wear shoes often because it will suck to walk around on, i know that now.
i only have so much space left because of tim's tail. i was thinking of maybe having the blossom so tim's tail goes over it or just have the tip of his tail touching it or something.
I like the idea of having petals falling off, but I might just settle with one petal falling off onto my toe or something. it just depends on what my artist thinks and how he draws it up. :)
i have a picture of the blossom in the hour glass from the anime that im going to take in for colour reference, so i guess that will work as well.
i can't remember how many petals Kanda has lost though up to now in the manga. :x

xD Luckily I have a staggeringly high pain threshold, so I should be okay. I mean, I didn't even blink when I got my nose pierced (needle), so. Yeah. I dunno though. I like ankle tattoos enough to deal with it. x')

I-I don't think that the lotus itself even exists in the manga. =/

a nose piercing is nothing compared to having a tattoo. i have both sides of my nose pierced and my septum done. a piercing is over and done with in like 10 seconds. a tattoo just keeps going and the machine is vibrating and the noise as well kind of gets to you. :/
you'll want to be prepared though going in for a tattoo. :) although id rather have my whole shin tattooed than get a larger tattoo on the inside of my foot. a shin tattoo is supposed to hurt but i didn't feel anything much.
i dont remember if the lotus was ever shown in the manga. it would probably be messy and hard to see if it was. the latest chapter of the manga i found hard to understand what was going on. :x

xD Yeah, I know that. But, I couldn't think of anything else that had happened to me lately that was especially painful. The only thing I can think of atm is the time I snapped my front tooth off in the 4th grade. I have thicker cartilage than most people, though, and the guy accidentally got the angle wrong on the first try. So. xD Yeah.
Normally I can tune movement and sound out well enough, so that shouldn't bother me overly much. I'll meditate for a few hours beforehand, probably.
I think the only time that it was shown in the manga was when Hoshino had sketches of the characters' rooms, so. And yeah, I've noticed that DGM scans are pretty messy. =/

depending on where you get a tattoo, it does feel like someone is deeply scratching you and then it starts itching, and you can't move that body part so it makes it worse.
I wouldn't suggest the wrist as a first tattoo, as parts of it are extremely painful, and others aren't, it's so weird. unless my wrist just got so numb the rest didn't affect me or something.
