I just need a little help...

Er, hello <3 First time poster, long time lurker and DGM fan. I just have a few questions. Maybe some one could give me a little help? Who knows? -shrugs-

Um... I'm gonna put this under a cut so I don't ramble on about things.

Anyways. Got three here. The first one is about Miranda Lotto who is truly my favorite character in this anime. I know her clock was destroyed to make her Time Record right? So my question is... What happened to the key? The key may by useless without the clock, but didn't Miranda say the key itself was important to her too? Obviously she can't wear it on her uniform and if she can then I can't see it.

What do you think happened to it? Does she even still have it?

Second question is about Chomesuke... Who is another one of my favorite girls. I'm sure we've all heard that Chomesuke is a male in a female body. I've heard the story many times myself, but I don't know where that information originally came from. Does anybody know?

Last one. Also, does anybody have any full body color pictures of Chomesuke? They're even harder to find then full body colors for Miranda... I got my friend [livejournal.com profile] tehseto to lazily color this for me, but I was wondering if any body had anything else?

Um... I think that's it. Thanks for your time <3

The key hasn't been mentioned or shown again, as far as I know, so maybe she has it, or maybe she doesn't. The clock doesn't need winding any more, so I suppose Miranda might not need to keep the key. But she's sentimental about some things, so maybe she'd want to keep it anyway.

I have no idea where the Chomesuke information is from. I've been wondering that myself. Sorry. :(

Chomesuke's gender is at least a little ambiguous. Personally, I do think of him as a boy -- the "suke" ending in Chomesuke is exclusively for male names, and when in Akuma form, the word he uses for "I/me" is "oira", which is archaic but was most often used by males. As far as I can tell, the fact that "Sachiko" is a girl is incidental to his real gender, since she's just a disguise -- likely she's the skin of the person who called Chomesuke back as Akuma? But we don't know what kind of human Chomesuke was before his death, so there's really nothing to definitively say he couldn't originally have been a girl.

Taking a guess about Chomesuke being male: I think it might be because of the name. I don't really know Japanese, so no idea if this is actually true, but I'm under the impression that -suke is a masculine name ending. And while it's Lavi who nicknamed Chomesuke, Chomesuke him/herself didn't really counter that, and preferred it to Sachiko, which, I guess might even be seen as being uncomfortable with having a female name.

...Although, honestly, I've never though of Chomesuke as particularly male myself, and just thought he/she didn't want the Sachiko name because it was the host body's name, and there're all sorts of guilt attached to that.

Another reason might be because the whole Akuma thing seems more like a lovers thing. At first, anyway? But, I dunno. I mean, it's already shown us that a lot of them are parent-child and vice versa or siblings.

Really, I think someone just started the male thing, and it caught on, and as more people wrote it that way, other people started to believe that it's the truth, and so on. So it's essentially fanon.

I know this is an old post, but I couldn't resist:

Per the anime, the poor clock (after being lugged cross-country, because Miranda is awesome like that) was destroyed to extract the Innocence, much like poor Lala from Volume 2. Although Miranda being Miranda, for all we know she keeps the shell in her room at the Order. ^_~

I firmly believe she still wears her key, as a memento if nothing else. She always wears high-collared shirts (she's a proper Victorian lady), so there's no way to tell, but when I cosplay I wear it under the turtlenecked undershirt that goes under the jacket, even though nobody can see it.

...As for Chomesuke, I suppose it's too bad Allen wasn't there to look at his/her soul! ^_~
