Hey y'all! I was curious, did DGM go on hiatus again? I heard that it 'may' go on hiatus again, and for various reasons (looking through the past entries here in the comm) but I haven't seen/heard anything concrete. I went back a few weeks in the comm but I don't remember seeing anything (unless I missed it somewhere). I decided to make a post about it in hopes of clearning it up when I noticed that there hadn't been a new chapter since before WSJ went on break for a week ~~(two weeks without naruto! skldjflskdf xD)~~.

Well for what i've read, Hoshino senpai is being sued by someone that claims that he's using his/her material º3º

I've heard that also, and I hope it gets straightened out soon. I can't imagine what it must be like for her to go through that, regardless if it's true or not. =\

Yes, DGM is on hiatus again; unfortunately, no one knows the reason why. The plagiarism accusation is just a rumor, and there has been no official confirmation stating it as being true.

I'd heard about that as well, but also heard that her wrist problems returned (or her surgery didn't take) and had to go on hiatus again, but last I heard (few weeks ago) nothing had been completely confirmed.

But thank you! At least now I won't be all "sdklf where is it!" xD

Yeah, I also read that she was redoing some of the previous chapters that will be released in Vol.18 and the latest rumor on 2ch is saying that Hoshino is pregnant. However, the last one has been deemed as false by 2chers. ^^

or maybe it is her hand again...
I am not sure what is the real reason for the hiatus
but if it really is the plagiarism thing I can just say that this is childish
seeing that Obata-san also copied a lot of drawings for his DeathNote manga
when all of the mangaka would start that plagiarism thing there would be no more new manga at all =___=

I am not saying that the "hand/wrist injury" problem is a lie; but seriously, a reason like this can possibly be an excuse for anything. It is hard to determine whether this is the true reason (unless you are her and can feel the condition of the wrist/hand). It can be true too, yes.

I really hope that it is just her hand/wrist
it would be a shame if she has to stop DGM just because of that, sorry, STUPID hand

yeah, no official reason has been given, but it was mentioned at the end of the last chapter that it was on hiatus. ~~of course right when the Kanda arc starts that everyone has been waiting forever for. grr.~~

On www.Mangafox.com, at the DGM page, they also have a thread in which they talk about this and from what I know from there it is about plagiarism.
There's also a link there to a page which compares the concerned pictures and they really are too similar for it to be a coincidence.
I really hope that it was an unintentional mistake. *sigh*

There's no confirmation if it's plagiarism. Those are only rumors.

Since it seems like the plagiarism is only rumors (for now), it sounds like a bunch of fans got butthurt over the fact the images look remotely the same and started rumors of it being plagiarism. Much like the boy who cried wolf.

Seems like everything is up for speculation until there's official news. =\ I'm hoping it's the former and that she's just sick and taking some time off (either illness or injury) and I hope for the best and that she is/gets well. =3

I hope the same because plagiarism is an ugly and hurtful thing, though I do have to admit that the pitures are pretty much identical. :(

Umm, Hoshino wrote a note somewhere saying that she's continuing to draw during the hiatus. So I think that she's either:

a. Taking a break to draw the next couple of chapters.

b. Redrawing some of the lower-quality chapters that she drew before her five-month hiatus.

c. Planning out the next arc, which will probably incorporate Kanda's past AND the 14th's awakening (so she needs to give it a lot of thought, or else it'll end up badly).

d. All of the above.
