Hi guys! I promised a long time ago that I'd type up the section of the Gray Ark fan book where Hoshino and her editors discuss the history of DGM's creation so that any Japanese-savvy translators with some time on their hands can have a go at it. It's got a ton of miscellaneous behind-the-scenes tidbits that you'd only care about if you're a diehard fan *cough*.

I'm still not done yet, but hey! At least what I've got so far isn't just piling dust while I take my time on this. So far, I've got about 4 out of 12 pages of pure Japanese text. I need more holidays.

Hey y'all! I was curious, did DGM go on hiatus again? I heard that it 'may' go on hiatus again, and for various reasons (looking through the past entries here in the comm) but I haven't seen/heard anything concrete. I went back a few weeks in the comm but I don't remember seeing anything (unless I missed it somewhere). I decided to make a post about it in hopes of clearning it up when I noticed that there hadn't been a new chapter since before WSJ went on break for a week ~~(two weeks without naruto! skldjflskdf xD)~~.

So, I've scoured every inch of the Shueisha website, and damned if I can come up with a mailing address for Hoshino-sensei. As I'm in Japan and can do so in a timely fashion, I want to send her some get-well-soon wishes along with some omiage from Miyazaki where I live.

Anyone got a workable address where such things can be sent? AND, if you guys want to include your own well wishes to Hoshino-sensei, then feel free to reply to this message. When I send my package, I'll print them out. Don't worry about translating into Japanese if you can't.

Hoshino puts D.Gray-man manga on hold due to health.

This year's 51st issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has announced on Monday that Katsura Hoshino has put her D.Gray-man supernatural adventure manga on hold due to her health. The magazine has not announced when D.Gray-man will return. The manga began in 2004, and Viz Media has published the 11th of the 16 current volumes this month.
