DGM Photoshoot
I had two mini photoshoots with
epiic who did a marvelous job of... well... everything... and I thought I'd share.
The Cloud Nine pictures are meant to show the emotion of what she felt when discovering her students had been killed; the Lenalee pictures started as a joke as a certain someone whose name is definitely not
lazyartistgirl requested I borrow her Lenalee cosplay when she did Allen. However... we had a better idea and well, let's say this is the creepiest Bak you'll see.

The Bak ones are funny! I imagine someone found out what he was doing in the last picture.

I have a huge mancrush on hershe's a character who's stoic generally, and if there's emotion it needs to be subtle.Bak is win.

You'll improve, and it sounds like you got into that SFX school so let's leave it like this.

Also? Bak-cosplayer? Consider yourself stalked *_____* A friend of mine was Link at Otakon and you're in a few of her shots. Seriously, you are an adorable Bak. *____* ♥♥

I think Kanda's chest-binding needs work. In my experience I've found it's best to start at the top of the chest, under the armpits- as high as possible. This prevents any bulging (I know in this case it would cover part of the tattoo, but if the assumption is he's bandaged to cover wounds [or something similar, since we all know Kanda doesn't keep] it could work). After one or two layers on top, I find that immediately moving on to the bottom of the breasts for a few more layers before finishing in the middle helps keep everything restrained and even more square looking- like pecs. Keeping the binding as flat as possible is also really helpful.
Anyways, that's just my little criticque/attempt at helping. Feel free to disregard xD

I think the Kanda's cosplay was done really last minute, but I'm not certain. I only see and talk to her once a year at Otakon, that's it pretty much. I'd actually think that the tape/open-chest binding technique would work better in this case, the binding reinforced.

You certainly did a good job with that; the angles for the shots are really nice too.
Ah, okay. Could you explain that technique to me, if it's not too much trouble? I've never heard of it. (Sorry for all the questions ^^; )
XD You're welcome.

You get liquid latex, which will stick to your skin though you need several layers of it, a sealer, and sometimes a little spirit gum underneath to hold it in place (be careful on the cheeks; they burn). Slowly, you layer the latex, and use bits of tissue or toilet paper rolled up to make ridges, also a toothpick is great for shaping it, as is a small scissor to make the wounds open. A bruise wheel is then used for the right shading. There are some pretty good tutorials for the Ben Nye products, which I like best.
And no worries. :) Thanks again.

BUT I will say that if you are doing it on yourself latex is MUCH easier to handle in the mirror and so is also quicker.
As for her claim of it being a last minute wax job, that is incorrect considering it was planned and not rushed at all. It could have been better, yes. I am still playing around with wax to learn how to sculpt it better.
Oh... and you do NOT need a bruise wheel for it at all. None of the colors in there are going to be what you need. What you DO need is a foundation a shade or two lighter than your normal shade, a shadow, and a highlight. That's it. Scars are your heeled flesh so unless they are brand new (in which they would be a light reddish tone) you just need skin tone paints.
Oh yeah! You also will want Ben Nye sealant spray. It helps the makeup against humidity, sweat, etc.

You're not fair and kind. I didn't charge you for the makeup even through all the drama and you completely left the credit out that I did the makeup.

The comment was edited because I didn't want it to come across as wankish. I don't want to discuss this anymore with you, and this is inappropriate to bring up here in the first place.
Mods, sorry for this. It should be the last comment here.
