I read this in the night in silence, playing sad DGM soundtracks (particularly Reunion and Lavi's despair) in my head, and my tears just started tumbling down my cheeks like crazy halfway through the first page right up to the end. Oh Why! Why! Why! Why must the D.gray world be so dark and miserable!!

It's been so long since I've cried this much over a novel. Hoshino-san could always make me cry for Allen. People can be so cruel sometimes ne, but present-day Allen is still that determined to save everyone despite all he's been through. That inexplicably unbreakable spirit is just what makes me love him so much.

*Spoiler alert*
IMO, I guess Mana lost his memories of his brother Nea after Red hit him in the head, and he confused Red for his dead dog Allen (R.I.P. old guy, you're the nicest dog in the world.), but in the end, right before Allen destroyed his Akuma form, his recollections must have came back somehow, so he told Allen that he loves him.

And the reason Allen took on Mana's personality after he recovered from shock, is probably to keep up his promise back then, to 'remember' for Mana.

//As of recent chapters I'm getting more and more confused about the whole Mana-Nea thing, but this is the feels I get from this anecdote.

P.S.I HATE HATE HATE Cosmos!!! First time I'm quite gratified the Earl came and blow the whole darned troupe to smithereens. Should've done in the Ringmaster, too!
