D.Gray-Man Anime Licenced

"At their Anime Central industry panel, FUNimation Entertainment announced the acquisition of Romeo X Juliet, Gonzo's 24-episode sci-fi take on the Shakespeare play. It will be released in two half-season boxes, with the first due out sometime in the spring of 2009. Funimation also confirmed that the release date for Ouran High School Host Club will be revealed during a special event on May 30.

At the same time as the panel was taking place, the Funimation.com website was updated with a splash page for another new license: D.Gray-man, which is also on track for a 2009 release.

You're going to Otakon, yes? I'm doing newer Allen (ch 153 version) Friday evening for certain. And I'm doing Cloud Nine with the other generals (including dead!Yeegar) on Saturday. I'd LOVE to snag pictures with Allen with your Earl since the pictures I've seen are so good. *__*

OH!! And before, thank you for telling me how to make a top hat. Working on Allen's for his tuxedo.

Yup, I'll be at Otakon. Can't wait to see your new Allen version and all the generals - it will be epic :-) We definitely have to get pictures together. Thanks for the compliment, I've had a lot of fun cosplaying as the Earl.

And glad to be of help! I love millinery and am always happy to pass on tips. It's a craft that seems on the edge of dying out outside of the theater, so I think it's great that we costumer's can help keep it alive. Looking forward to seeing your creation!

Hee yeah. Because I had to leave out the Tophat (as did Cross) since we ran out of time when we did Tuxedo (and suits) with Lavi and Kanda.

But that'll be amazing! Closer to then, remind me to make sure I send you my cell or something, though since I'm going to be carrying Exorcism which should be at least 4'6" (the size of my Lavi hammer) and up to possibly 7' if I can find a way to transport it... Stupid sword. D: D: D:

Oh, is that the new hat in your icon?

Also, are you doing the Earl's "human" form?

Just be careful of the size limit on props for Otakon (I think it's something like 6'). I know what you mean about transportation issues - the Earl's hat and Lero are both challenging to deal with when I fly to conventions.

Oh, is that the new hat in your icon?
That's it!

I toyed briefly with doing the human form, but I have such a long cosplay list already for this year that I decided I just couldn't manage it for 2008, especially since it would be all about high-quality, time-consuming tailoring. Maybe for next year :-D

8' for Otakon. :D I checked because Sokaro's making his weapon as large as it gets. Guh. That's going to be so amazing to play with, and I'm stoked because a friend's going to be doing Lau Jimmin. Essentially, we just need a definite for Maria and someone for Art then we have the complete Generals + Weapons group. :P

They just posted revised policies (http://www.otakon.com/policies.asp#weapons) a couple of days ago (seems awfully late to me given how far ahead people work on their costumes). Hope it doesn't mess too much with our group :-P
