Is anyone attending Anime Expo this year? My friends and I are going to cosplay as Allen, Kanda, Lavi and Lenalee in the Third Uniform and it would be really nice to meet more people at the convention. We will be going on Friday and Saturday.

I'm going to cosplay as Allen in his Crown Clown cape and sword along with it. And I must say that his sword is quite a pain to do but pretty much worth it for we might even do a Masquerade skit if we are chosen in the entry screening. We should recieve a reply from them soon.

Progress Spoilers:

Crown Clown- I found duct tape that was really super shiny. Plus, you can see your reflection in it. XD My goal is to make the sword accurate and shiny as possible. I attached the handle but I cut it off in the picture.

Back Torso of Lenalee's Uniform- I'm really reluctant to show everything right now. We actually progressed a lot further than what the pictures say. I will update on pictures after we attend the AX. Expect a photoshoot! And I must add that sewing the back is a butt. Seriously. Thank goodness I'm finished with that.

Note: And you know what makes me distressed? DGM is on hiatus again so we won't have more pictures for references. Which is bad since the uniform keeps on altering like crazy and my friend Kato calls me a perfection freak. I am not. Really.

And Allen's earring changed too. What is up with that? Allen! Why can't you keep your gay (Kato's words not mine) blue metallic sphere earring? Geez. Moyashi causes to much pain. But he's worth it too.

....His earring... why.... Sigh. I don't even know what color it is. (Btw, sorry for marking Allen's face)

But anyways, sorry for rambling. As soon as we're done with the cosplay, I will post up the pictures and maybe even amateurish tutorials for people who are curious on how we made the whole thing. Another cosplay update will come soon. (Currently working on shoulder straps at the moment)

OH wow...you guys make a lot of progress~~ My group and I are attending AX this year and we'll be there at teh gathering too~ We have uhh...Allen [me], Lenalee, Lavi, Kanda, Bak, Komui, Cross, Miranda, and Tyki.

Oh my goodness, really? That's a pretty big group. XD We should take pictures together. XD What is your group wearing?

Me and My Friends are going, I'm not sure if ((Me and my friend)) we'll go as Lavi and Allen, ((3rd Uniform, but we're 14 and we're short! XD)), or if We'll go as Vocaloids.... ((Len = my Friend, Kaito = Me)), so it's still undecided and we're definitely going on a Saturday~ Where are you all going to meet up at? :D

But it's okay though. Truthfully I haven't sewed on the sleeves. =.= I will tomorrow though. And the bags are going to be really troublesome to do. >.>

Omg, there's going to be a lot of dgm cosplayers this year. XD But I'm short too. Allen's about 5'7", I'm like 5'3 or 4"? Sigh. I should stretch myself to grow taller. XD
So a Saturday, eh? Hm. Last year we entered the expo through the west side. But this year we'll enter through the front. Eh? Meeting place? Not exactly. Oh yeah, maybe the arcade. Me and my Kanda cosplayer have a rematch in air hockey to do. I lost last time dammit. =.=

I am going to AX, but I won't be bringing Lavi this year. Too many new costumes, not enough time. D8 I'll have to take pictures of you guys if I see you, though~. :0

I'll be at AX as Miranda in the new uniform (although I still have no idea what the bottom looks like). :D

Not going to Expo cuz I'm not even from the country. XD

But for your info, Allen earring should be the communicator, which should be gold in colour.

Ah, I did hear about the gathering but our group can't go since we are only going on Friday and Saturday. DX We wish we could go. Me and my friend are slightly sulking at the day choice. SIgh. Oh well, but I hope you guys have fun. XD

Is there a reason you don't cosplay? Truthfully, we were actually going to do d.gray-man casual because of a tight budget but we then last minute decided to the third uniform. We have almost become poor now, DX.

Do you read the manga from the scans? In the Japanese tankobon, the quality is a lot clearer but I am not sure if the whole uniform is shown because of the overcoat she is wearing.

I know what you mean. There are so many outfits in dgm recently it is hard to catch up. You can see us with a Timcanpy and a very shiny Crown Crown sword.XD

XP There are a lot of reasons...

1) I have NO idea who to cosplay as... Been thinking of doing Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden for a while... but her outfit costs about $300...

2) No money... T___T Money has always been a major problem in my life... XP

3) I have no idea how to sew... Would love to learn how to but I have a job so my time at home is pretty limited...

$) There are cosplay shops in Singapore but the quality of the materials are not that good... and the prices are horrible. XP Even renting an outfit costs a bomb.

XP I was thinking of at least renting an outfit this year... Haha.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Money is a big issue for us and I didn't get my wig yet. Hopefully I can get it cheap but with good quality. Hopefully. And we aren't pros at sewing but did have a little tiny bit of experience because of Home Economics class in middle school.
...I'm getting quite frustrated because I keep on making mistakes like crazy. But I'll try hard. Good luck on your cosplay. XD If you ever cosplay post up pictures okay?

I read the scanlations. I think that the main problem is the overcoat covering what she wears on the bottom.
