Manga discussion for recent chapters
Spoilers abound. If you're allergic to them, stay clear.
Well, 144 was the first chapter for 2008 and already, Hoshino-sensei has dropped us a "WTF is the mystery guy?" I'm not trying to speculate who the source of the laughter is. This discussion is to speculate on the general trend of the series.
1) We've definitely reached a point where the Earl isn't laughing as much as usual. With the Egg destroyed by the generals and Allen, we can safely say that Lulubell had failed her first manga mission. With no new Akumas to come for a long time, and Lulubell's wastage of her army, what would the Earl do? This leads to my second question.
2) The rest of the Noah family. Are the Noah found, or what? My personal guess (judging from Skin's case) is that something must trigger the Noah powers latent within them in order for them to "turn dark", so to speak. Would the Earl begin his tour of the world to find the rest?
3) Our dear Hitler-lookalike and Howard Link. I believe they don't have ill intentions, but their plan would somehow put the Order under greater danger from the Earl. Seriously, I can't imagine a cake-baker as truly evil.
4) The Science Department is now badly waxed after the invasion. Would Komui and his gang be able to repair two Innocence weapons in time AND forge Chaoji's weapon? Personally, I think not. Then again, with Bak Chan's help...
5) 144 marks the first time that Allen didn't get the short end of the stick after using Crown Clown Omega (Contrast the rescue of Miranda against Tyki's pwning of him in armour form AND the current arc before the generals hop in). Cross actually praised him again for reaching the 100% mark. (The first time was a curt remark that Allen "finally gave his Innocence a decent form".) So, the "Heart" question is again wide open.
Comments?
P.S. If you're the artist who posted a topless Lulubell in the old community, I salute you. Seems that Hoshino-sensei gave us just that, without the close up though =X.

Question 3 - The Hitler guy angers me, as he seems to put his own personal ambitions before the greater good. I think this makes him a VERY dangerous man.
I think it would be too easy for Allen to be the "destroyer of time aka the Earl" and also have the Heart. I think the possesor of the heart hasnt appeared yet.

And it was Beanclam who drew Lulubell.

Searching for more Noahs definitely sounds like a logical next move for the Earl. And I still think that rather than the weapons being reforged, Lavi and Kanda will both end up parasitic, with their weapons popping out of their hands like Arashi in X. (Or maybe Kanda's entire arm will form into a huge sword, which would be pretty cool).

Just as Skin claimed that the Noah never truly dies, I speculate that the Innocence is never truly destroyed, so to speak. My guess is that the power of the Heart allows shards which were previously destroyed to add their powers to wielders within its range. For the finale against the Earl and the Noah, if Lavi and Krory still can't beat lvl 3s easily, we'll have a big problem.

1) Miranda's Time Record would be permanent recovery for the wounded, and she'll be able to bring back the dead who died while inside her Record. Also, her fatigue will be reduced (not eliminated). She'll receive an attack: Time Erase. As the name suggest, for a high price, she'll be able to erase a person's existence.
2) Krory's teeth can now chew through level 3s. Always thought that he looked stupid being unable to bite through anything tougher than a level 2.
3) Lavi's hammer produces shockwaves when it hits the ground (much like Daisya's Charity Bell). Also, when the seals are used, there will be avatars representing each seal used. Hiban's a bratty-sounding young man, while Mokuban and Tenban are ladies. (STRIKE?)

As for the Noah. I do believe that the Earl will go in search for other members of the Noah family. I also agree with what sailormac is saying. There is possibly a dormant Noah in the midst of the Black Order.
About the Noah that were defeated, I'm almost positively sure that at least some of them, if not all of them, will be ressurected by the Earl or someone of greater power.
And I also predict a bloodbath coming extremely soon.

3. Probably not evil. They're just your average cronies, more than likely. Although the 'secret mission' that Link's on may suggest there's more to them that they're letting on.
Which begs the question for me.... where on Earth are people getting this Leverrier>Hitler stuff? Barring the mustache, they really look nothing alike. If anything at all, Leverrier greater resembles a very loose manga adaptation of J. Jonah Jameson or something.

2. I was under the impression that all of the Noah had already gathered. I could have been leaping to conclusions, though. Either way, they need a replacement for Skin now, and having the Earl (or existing Noahs?) search for the next Noah to awaken would be an interesting plot. It would parallel the Exorcists search for more Innocence and compatble users, too.
4. There's a decent level of dramatic tension being maintained with all these broken weapons, even if the Exorcists did destroy the egg. Go Science Department!

It'd be nice to see what the repaired weapons would be like especially since there was a hint that Linalee's boots had evolved to a kind of semiparasitic level.

I wonder if they would put another manga tradition on action(main character going dark/having dark side)If Mana really is the 14th. That means Allen has Mana's soul AND a Noah soul within(Traitor or not)
God I'm confused XP
