Question: What is going on?
Well, I haven't read the manga for a year or maybe more (from the time Cross went missing) – sadly DGM seemed to become more and more complicated, introducing many new characters that were clearly not meant to exist from the very beginning, including a lot of fancy artifacts and generally increasing the amount of cracks in the whole plot line.
But today something hit me to read the last chapter and ... yeah, I couldn't understand a thing. So, can anyone brief me on what is going on, please? And what happened to Lavi? Where is he? And is Yuu truly dead? And who is the main enemy anyway?
I'm on the verge of losing all interest in the DGM manga, come on people, please, you have to make me try and see the reason – the light! – in what was going on recently.

As for why I think it's Komui, please bear with me, this might be kinda long:
Well, he sensed when Lenalee was almost killed during her fight with Eshi, despite him being hundreds of miles away: Here (http://www.mangareader.net/210-15159-14/dgray-man/chapter-68.html)
And later when Allen surpassed critical point, Helraska never said who the critical person was but Komui knew it was Allen: here (http://www.mangareader.net/210-15207-14/dgray-man/chapter-116.html). (I know Reever guessed that maybe it was Allen, but Komui seemed to instinctively know.)
Also, during the Zombie arc, when all seems lost and Komui is pined we get this (http://www.mangareader.net/210-15255-7/dgray-man/chapter-164.html/). Now, I know he said he read all the records, but to be able to remember perfectly all those names, in a moment of huge stress, it's a suspicious if not superhuman ability.
Plus, among the exorcists, Komui is the closest thing they have to a leader. Forget the Pope, forget Rouvelier, Komui is the ome all the exorcists take orders from, rather like the Heart is the supposed leader of the Innocence. Komui is also the one who sees all the reports, comes in contact with every piece of Innocence that arrives at the Black Order, is in charge of repairing the Innocence and forging all new anti-Akuma weapons.
One other thing I've theorised recently: Lenalee's Innocence seems to be of a similar level of sentience to Apo-thing and seems to be constantly evolving (Crystal type). It's possible that this evolution means she's becoming another Apocryphos, in other words a protector of the Heart. Think about it; who, in all the world, whatever the cost, will Lenalee do anything to protect: her brother Komui.
Anyway, this is really all just theory. We have no way of knowing till Hoshino finally reveals it's identity.

After all I hardly think that the Hart would be related to somebody, who wasn't introduced back then when it was first mentioned, or at least I hope that would be the case, for having a random savior jump in at the right moment would be just too lame. And if the Heart belongs to only one person, well, Komui is indeed trying to protect everyone, and in turn was protected by everyone when the order was attacked, some people even sacrificing their lives. And Lenalee's innocence would fit in the idea...
But if it is indeed that way, I think sadly Komui would have to sacrifice his life in the end... Which in turn would make the sad ending Hoshino wanted (I've read it somewhere in the links this post is overwhelmed with), oh, sad indeed, for I love that man. *sigh*

Yeah, pretty much agree with everything you said there. I mean Hoshino could introduce someone completely new, but I have more faith in her storytelling than that (unles she pulled it off really really well)
I mean, even look at Apo-thing; people have been complaining that she pulled him out of nowhere, when in reality she didn't. His presence, or at least the exostence of someone very powerful and hidden in Central, was implied nearly fifty chapters ago. I'm sure the Heart won't just appear out of nowhere and will have some connection with the past storyline.
Ahhh, don't make me think about the ending. I have no idea what is going to happen, but I'm sure I'll be in tears. I keep hoping it will be a happy ending, but I know it won't. Just about everyone is in danger of dying (except maybe Lavi, what with him beong future Bookman and all, but even that's a guarantee).
