D. Gray-man Friending Meme

I know this comm has been rather quiet, but I miss seeing life in the DGM fandom. I was thinking that it'd be good to get to know some more folks who are active in this fandom these days, maybe spur some fresh discussions, share theories, inspire new fanworks, or just make some new friends.

So to that end, a friending meme!

Just fill out the handy textbox:

Chat with people here, add them on other sites, spread the word and tell others that this meme is up!

And, of course, please play nice--if you strike up a conversation with someone and it turns out you don't click, there's no obligation to be buddies long term. But nothing ventured, nothing gained, so don't be bashful!

I know I'm totally late to the party here, but I've missed D.Gray-Man so much and been rewatching certain episodes lately, so here goes:

Name: Cynthia
Friending Contacts: I don't really go by anything specific, but I have two LJs, subaru_san and crown_clown0, and a Skype name of "cynahmar". If you do add me on Skype, please specify that you're a D.Gray-Man fan because I get a lot of junk spam requests.
A bit about you: I'm 34 and live in Canada, specifically in Montreal in the province of Quebec, so my timezone is Eastern. I'm currently studying in Child Studies and trying to enter a program to teach in elementary schools. My first language is french but my favorite subject in school has pretty much always been english. Math was interesting until it got too complicated for me, and history is fascinating but far too complicated at university level.

DGM interests: My favorite character has always been Allen though Lavi's been a close second for a while now and Tyki is my favorite Noah. The direction the author has taken with Lenalee has disappointed me, she turned out to be too whiny a character, and Chaoji has always been a character I couldn't stand. I don't understand the fascination with Kanda and I don't like him. I dislike Roufa and the way Lulubell was introduced in the anime as well. As far as ships go, I think Allen and Lenalee would make a cute couple, and so would Marie and Miranda. Other characters I've found fascinating lately, especially after reading Allen's novel backstory, are Mana and Nea. I really hope the author continues this series someday so we can delve deeper into that mystery.
DGM fandom activities: Unfortunately, I don't write or draw or anything, but I have enjoyed reading the novels, listening to the drama CDs, rewatching certain episodes and theorizing about what is currently happening in the manga.
Fandoms you're into besides DGM: Generally speaking, I like shounen series best. My #1 favorite series, Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, has a dub by the more well-known name of Ronin Warriors. Classics like Dragon Ball (the whole of it, but only manga-related content) and Yuu Yuu Hakusho have also long been favorites. I've also seen Saint Seiya and the somewhat similar Tenkuu Senki Shurato. I've also been known to watch a few mecha series, namely Gundam Seed (and Destiny), Gundam Wing, Gundam X and Soukyuu no Fafner. Someday I'd like to watch all the Gundam series but I have zero interest in Gundam OO, which I find generic and boring. Fafner is easily the best and most impactful series I've had the good fortune to watch, and though some draw similarities in it to Evangelion, I have no interest in the latter. Generally speaking, I also like fantasy series with an original twist, so I've also watched Fushigi Yuugi, Record of Lodoss War (OAV only, the TV series looks bland), and X. Regarding X, the manga is much better in both its drawing style and plot, and in the case of Tokyo Babylon, the sort of prequel to X, only the manga is worth reading because the OAVs take the focus off the characters and instead focuses too heavily on action. I've also seen the dark series Monster.
Other hobbies and interests: As far as game-related content goes, I've seen .hack//SIGN and Roots, played the first set of games, and disliked G.U. and its heavy-handed plot. I've also gotten interested in Final Fantasy VII, and though I've never played the game myself, found myself liking Crisis Core and Zack a lot more. I've had the chance to watch both playthroughs and the full near-3-hour cutscenes in good quality. As far as books go, I like to read mystery novels and have especially enjoyed the few Arsene Lupin books I've managed to find. Since I like fantasy, I've read and enjoyed the Wheel of Time (by Robert Jordan) and Sword of Truth (by Terry Goodkind) series, and also a few of Raymond E. Feist's books.

Anything else?
