Hummm well if it hasn't been picked up by now I'd say the chances are lower that it will, but it may still. There isnt that much buzz, and the anime isn't that great so I dunno.
And i know nothing about english VAs so I really couldnt say. Id say for sure that I'd still want a woman to voice Allen though >.>
I dunno, some pretty crappy and unknown anime still gets dubbed (Weiss Kreuz comes to mind, lol)... On the other hand, Gurren Lagann which is extremely popular just got picked up and it ended in September or something I think.
I do, actually; possibly on Adult Swim, but since I don't have cable I wouldn't know what English actors would be best. I think that finding one for Kanda that isn't too grating would be a challenge.
I think there's a good possibility of DGM getting dubbed, especially with the manga being released. But, the fillers are extra time+money (and some with absolutely no relevance to the plot) so that might be a turn-off to some companies.
I really don't know any specific voice actors D: Preferably for Allen, a more boyish voice instead of a mature one. And Road, hopefully her VA makes her sound more like a mischievous little girl than spoiledbrattish? ;; Tyki's VA shouldn't be that difficult either P: The Earl... somehow I picture the dubbing company picking a kind of old-grandpa voice for him >>;
Those are excellent choices . . . I've had Aaron Dismuke and Vic Mignona in mind for Lavi and Allen for awhile. (Yes, I know that makes my personal OTP incestuous by FMA standards. ~_^)
I could also see Caitlin Glass (Winry) as Lenalee and Scott McNeill (Hoenheim) as Cross.
Since Viz has the manga, they'll likely get the anime too when they get around to it, like Bleach, Naruto, and Death Note. It was probably a good 70 episodes or so before Naruto's anime got licensed if I remember right. Personally I'd rather it be anyone but Viz that gets the license. Funimation or ADV would be my preferred choices.
I'd rather not see Vic Mignogna involved, but eh, I likely won't watch it in English anyway. <.
I thought the same thing as steel_popsicle for having Vic Mignona do Lavi's voice =3. Hrm...possibly Alessandro Juliani doing Tyki's voice? (he does the voice of L in the dub of Death Note >3<)
I don't know how likely it is to get picked up and dubbed, and I don't know who'd voice who, but... I hope it does get picked up and dubbed well and becomes more popular, because that'd be great. However... I hope they wouldn't use Vic Mignogna for a major role. :( Almost every time I hear his voice, I go "What's Ed Elric doing here?!" I have a hard time watching the dub of the anime Tactics in part because of that reaction... I do have to admit, though, that he might be a nice fit for Lavi. Really, I'd be happy as long as it was handled well. o__o I hate it when a show is good but the dubbing is terrible...
...Ugh. Vic. (That's about all the input I can give.)
Really, though, I wouldn't watch it dubbed, anyway. And while Vic's voice is nice enough, the man himself is... yeah, "ugh" is the best I can summon up.
Before I saw the Death Note dub, I thought there's no way that D.Gray-Man could ever be dubbed. Now I've rethought it, but I'm still dubious, because D.Gray-Man has darker undertones than Death Note, not to mention a lot more religious stuff. I shudder to think that they might butcher the Black Order's name. And they might try to not mention God and apostles. If a dub were to come out, I'd be a little scared.
I don't know much about english voice actors, because I don't much care for english voice acting. But that Vic guy that people keep mentioning? Absolutely not. I really don't like him as Edward Elric.
I thought that Death Note was much, much darker than D.Gray-man, it being a psychological thriller with much more graphic and rampant death and all that kinda messes with your head while DGM is still obviously in a sort of fantasy realm. Besides that, other things that have much heavier dark and religious tones have already been dubbed and not really censored... like Hellsing comes to mind.
I don't see why they'd remove or change much at all, or decide not to do DGM because of it's themes when there's already much worse. It's not like DGM is targeted to children.
Death itself is not very scary or impressive; it's more the means of death that will determine whether a series is particularly dark, I think. I was drawn to Death Note because of Light and L's personalities and intelligence, not because of its theme of death. Fantasy or not, I found Suman's death a lot more disturbing than any death in Death Note. It's specifically because Death Note is a thriller that you don't feel much for those who end up dying.
Well, all I know is that whenever there's mention of God (or gods), and anything else religious, they tend to go heavy on the editing. Have you ever seen Yugioh? They never referred to Ra, Obelisk and Osiris as gods in the dub. And a more prominent example is in the .hack games. I have never been able to find an image of the original, but in Infection, Skeith's wand was a Celtic cross, and it was instead changed to the shape of a Q, essentially. Basically, if they were to show it on TV, I think there'd be a better chance of heavy editing than if it were to be released directly on DVD.

I can also see Aaron (forgot his last name, but he played Alphonse Elric) playing Allen now that he's old enough. :)

It's going to be such a nightmare. D: I was tempted to send ADV a reel tape of my voice for it but I don't want to get lumped with the bad.

I could see Aaron Dismuke as Allen, and Vig Mignogna as Lavi.
I also agree with gamefreak_zero's comment. xD Steve Burton would be absolutely PERFECT to voice Kanda.

I meant Vic.
HE'S EVERYWHERE. CURSE YOU MIGNOGNA.
But he would be perfect for Lavi lfbsdjvjb.
