So, I'm hoping this is the right place to go to with this question. >____>;;

I'm behind in the D.Gray-Man series because I wait until the manga hits the shelves in America. I flat out refuse to read manga online and any episode that catches enough of my interest is usually deleted off of the tubes of you. B|

That being said, I obviously don't know about Deak(Deke?)

D: Can anyone tell me anything about him? Or what volume he'll show up in?! [Hell, I'll even take a link to the chapter he first appears in! My Lavi muse is killing me over this. B|]

Deak/Dick/Deke/etc. was never officially named in the manga. that was the name the anime gave him (if i can remember correctly). i know he shows up in episode 88 (maybe a bit of 87 too), but i can't remember where in the manga. he's Lavi's 48th name (Lavi being the 49th). after every new "mission" "Lavi" takes on a new name and personality.

This is not true. The chapters that are on Onemanga are poorly translated, and the scene in Chapter 114 Page 10 that has Bookman trying to get Lavi's attention, properly translated, goes, "Lavi. Lavi. ...Dick." And then that gets Lavi's attention, because it's the name he's more used to. The version on Onemanga translates that, inexplicably, as "Darn".

N, not to sound bitchy or anything, orz. Just wanted to correct the misconception before it spread. Stupid Onemanga. :|

I've always thought of Dick and Bookman jr as seperate things(like pipperin said) Dick is the 48th persona but the one possessing Lavi and smacking Allen about was Bookman Jr.
