After a lengthy delay...
Jul. 13th, 2008 04:19 pmFandom: D. Gray-man
Title: Survivors, Chapter the Fourth: The Kingdom of the Blind
Rating: NC15, for certain non-graphic implications of nastiness, P for Pretentious attempts at pseudo-Victorian verbiage, TOMG for Tyki's internal narration.
Disclaimer: D. Gray-man and all characters and concepts related thereto belong to Hoshino Katsura and, likely, a gigantic Japanese entertainment consortium. I profiteth not.
Author's Notes: Your humble authoress offers her sincere apologies for the extreme lateness of this chapter, considering that I promised it would be finished ::cough:: a year and a half ago. The DGM stylistic experiment/postfic AU does, however, continue and will hopefully be coming in more regularly spaced installments now that my primary fandom distraction is six months old.

Next:
Survivors, Chapter the Fifth: Not Far Enough From the Madding Crowd, in which lessons are taught, unfond reminiscences exchanged, the Portuguese language is cruelly abused and conversations are had. Also: Komui meets River's parents and Tyki learns he has a wife and a brother-in-law, very much to his surprise.
( For those interested: the real Pannonhalma and two Black Madonnas )

[fic] The New Clown
Jul. 13th, 2008 04:46 pmTitle: The New Clown
Author:
vikki
Summary: Sequel to The Third Job. Allen, while working at the circus, meets Mana and his dog. pre-series, pre-everything, really.
Rating: PG for swearing.
Spoilers: very slight ones for ch. 166, having nothing to do with the Big Revelation.
( Cosimo was mean-spirited and hated to think anyone was more important to the circus than him. )
Author's notes: A 'bender' is a sixpence - made from pure(ish) silver in the 1800's, you could test its authenticity by bending it with your teeth. If anyone has a good estimate for how much a ticket to a circus would be in the mid-1890's in England, please let me know because google-fu totally failed me. A lick-spittle is an ass-kisser.

Fanarts and a request...
Jul. 13th, 2008 08:19 pm(haha, LJ ate my entry...here we go again)
Hi all,
June ate me and finally spat me back out a week into July, but at least the DGM anime and manga releases were all timely and awesome as per usual. I come bearing fanart and a request.
Through the comm and the internets, I was able to find scans for the doujinshi Family Walker #1-3 by Seil. It's a doujin about an innocence fragment (I think the same one in Alpha Syndrome) giving Allen and Kanda adorable kid-versions of themselves to raise. Through the kindness of my friend currently living in Japan, I was able to get a real copy of Family Walker #5, which ends the series. Alas, I cannot find the scans for Family Walker #4 anywhere - could anyone kindly point me to where I can find it? I don't plan on scanning #5 because it'll ruin the binding, but as soon as I upload the photos I took of the content, I plan to share it.
And here are the doodles:

As usual, comments and crits welcomed.

Fanfiction - Circus Outtakes
Jul. 13th, 2008 11:33 pmTitle: The Show Must Go On
Pairing: Um. Allen/Circus?
Rating: PGish
Warnings: These are the circus outtakes from Moving Forward, and while you don't need to read Moving Forward to make sense of them, it would probably help.
Disclaimer: I don't own D.Gray-Man.
Summary: Allen has always loved the circus. His success in communicating that love to other people, though...is a little hit or miss.
